Interpretive Reading Contest

This was a special "Fifth Tuesday of the Month" meeting. Not as many members as usual attended, and we found we were not able to access our cupboard in the storeroom. But Toastmasters are able to rise to the occasion. Timekeeper Annette W improvised with coloured place mats instead of timing lights, and Wendy made raffle tickets out of pieces of paper.

Christiane
John T
Christiane filled in for the Sergeant at Arms and opened the meeting.
John proposed a toast to "The State of Origin and a Queensland Victory" since it was the eve of the big football match.

New member Karen (formerly of Tamborine Mountain Toastmasters) was inducted into our club.

Paul
Rose
Paul was Toastmaster and Rose was Contest Toastmaster.

There were seven keen competitors in the Interpretive Reading Contest.
