Meeting 1051 "Encouragement"

Sergeant-at-Arms Darryl opened the meeting by humming (!) the mission statement as well as reading it.

Stephen was Toastmaster for the evening and kept the programme flowing smoothly.

Trish spoke about the encouragement a good evaluation can give, and proposed a toast to Evaluations.

Gokul had chosen a challenging word for the evening - "Incitation," meaning to stimulate to action. He gave some examples on the use of the word.

Round Robin  Master Vaughan began a story which everyone took part, each ending with the word "fortunately" or "unfortunately" for the next person to continue. (It was a convoluted tale involving a school swimming team eating "Whizz Fizz.")

There were three entertaining speakers. In his speech "Evil Screens," Trevor related some of  his experiences in Thailand and how the culture has changed with the introduction of technology.

Blake presented his Pathways Icebreaker speech, & told how he was trying to escape the "Scaly Talons" of social media.
