Remembering Joyce

Members who were in our club before 2008 will have fond memories of Joyce Valentine. Joyce was a very active member and would always go out of her way to be helpful. She always attended Toastmasters Conferences, assisted with the Einbunpin Festival, Speechcraft, and excelled in her role of Vice President Public Relations. Some of our Executive meetings were held in Joyce's home.

Sadly, Joyce passed away on the 17th May.

Here are a few photos of Joyce.

Welcome to our two new members, D'sley and Malcolm.

It really was a night of "stepping out of you comfort zone" for some of our members.
Maureen was Toastmaster for the first time. She was well prepared with inspiring quotes and information to fill any gaps in the meeting.

Volunteer Afternoon

Kerry
Liz,  Pam & Marlene attended a special Thankyou afternoon tea for volunteers, hosted by our local MP & Past Member of Sandgate Toastmasters, Kerry Millard.

Volunteers from local groups were invited to set up a display to promote their organisation.

The afternoon tea was scrumptious! Kerry said it had come from the Town Hall Bakery in Sandgate.
