Meeting 901 "Pets"

The theme of our meeting was "Pets," so I couldn't resist showing you Leesa's new pup, Jazzi Rose. Now for the meeting itself....

 Trish opened the meeting, in the absence of our president Annette and handed control to Toastmaster for the evening, Marlene.

Maureen was prepared
Our Wordmaster was not present, but Maureen was prepared and presented the word "Excogitate," meaning "to think out, or to study intently and carefully in order to grasp or comprehend fully" It is so good when members come prepared to fill in where needed!

Round Robin Master Liz We asked us to tell about a pet we have owned. Some of the pets mentioned were, lambs, calves, chickens, parrot, cats, dogs - poodle,  daschund, tree snake, and someone (guess who!) mentioned unicorns and dragons!

Peter conducted the Table Topics session and encouraged the participants to use plenty of body language. The topics were all related to pets and were answered by Inge, Maureen, John S, and Jonathon.


They were evaluated by Amanda.

Liz We  demonstrated her skills in using visual aids with her speech "From Novice to Expert."
It was evaluated by Nicole.

John T's speech was titled "Get on the Floor and Work Your Core" He sucessfully fulfilled the objectives of the manual project "Your Body Speaks." 
John T uses effective body language.

Maureen presented the raffle, which was an assortment of items and it was won by Liz.

Trish gave an interesting report on the recent District 69 Conference.

The Business Session was conducted by John S. The main items were discussed were;
Changing our club's account to a local bank and the decision to purchase a projector for our club. Time keeper Dave report that we were running over time.

Inge tested our listening skills with a quiz.


The entire meeting was evaluated by General Evaluator, Liz Wo.



Trish presented the evenings awards to Peter (Personal Best,) Marlene (Best Contribution,) Jonathon (Best Table Topic and Best Evaluator) and John T (Best Speech.)
