Speech Contest
At our last meeting we held our International Speech and Table Topics Contests.The winner of Table Topics Contest was Annette and John came second.The International Speech Contest was won by John and Annette came second.

A large group of Sandgate members attended The Area 8 Conference today. We were thoroughly entertained by the quality of the speeches, although I think we were extremely biased when cheering for our members in the various categories (let's just say we were very supportive). Our competing members did very well placing in several categories. I enjoyed the humorous category the best, and yes, I laughed very loudly with all the speeches. We were privileged to experience an inspirational education (or is that educational?) session by Mark Hunter and I am sure everyone was able to understand how easy it will be to write a speech now....!!! lol especially our cheese on toast specialist
