Meeting 945 "Ahoy, Me Hearties"

Pirates - Rose, Sharyn, John S, Jean S, Amanda, Marlene
A jolly time was had on the good ship, Sandgate Toastmasters. Toastmaster Long John S kept us entertained and informed with snippets of  historical facts and stories of pirates. John is actually the 36th grandson of the infamous Rollo the pirate.

John S
There were 6 guests, Heather, Rod, Zung James, Paul and Sandra.

President Nicole had the pleasure of inducting two new members, Tammy and Tim. Their mentors Annette and Jim promised to guide them in their Toastmasters journey.

Terry
Word Master Terry chose the word "Luxuriate," meaning to indulge in luxury. He also filled in as Round Robin Master, and, referring to the recent death of Alan Bond who was famous for his part in winning  America's Cup,  Terry asked, "What would you do to win America's Cup." This evoked some imaginative replies.
Table Topics Master John T threatened to make his victims walk the plank and called on "Actress" Nicole, "Scientest" Tim G, "Social Celebrity" Liz, and "Sports Star" Jim to use their persuasive speaking skills to save themselves.
